Nova-Tier Ability

  • Read Thoughts
    • Reading surface emotions or non-sentient thoughts is Easy, reading surface thoughts is Average, reading a subject’s complete thought process is Hard, reading thoughts or memories the subject is not thinking about is Formidable, reading repressed thoughts is Heroic

Supernova-Tier Ability

(Influence / Persuasion)

  • Power Augmentation
    • Add Influence / Persuasion to the activation roll
  • Control Thoughts
    • Complete control is contested by the target
    • Each action taken in a round allows the character to retain control of one target
  • Implant Thoughts
    • Contested by the target’s Willpower + Discipline / Mental Resistance
    • Can implant memories in real time
  • Mental Network
    • Can connect multiple people (+1 Tier per Person connected)
    • Hive Mind uses the highest Skill associated with the group
    • Skills are capped at a d2 per activation Tier success (so Easy is d2, Average is d4, Hard is d6, etc)

Hypernova-Tier Ability

(A Moment In Time, Reader, Sawbones)

  • Power Augmentation
    • Add the highest applicable Asset to the activation roll
  • Hive Mind
    • Contested by the target’s resistance roll, can only attempt once per scene
    • Success grants permanent access via Telepathy to the target, regardless of distance
    • While using Hypernova-Tier ability, the character can choose to take a mental action on anyone that has been brought into the Hive Mind reflexively each turn
  • One World Mind
    • Attempt any use of Telepathy on a large number of people, each resists the roll with a difficulty of the activation roll (typically with Willpower + Discipline / Mental Resistance)
    • 5 minds are Easy, 10 are Average, 50 are Hard, 100 minds are Formidable, 500 minds are Heroic, 1,000 minds are Incredible, 5,000 minds are Ridiculous, 10,000 minds are impossible
