Mutation – Power

Nova-Tier Ability

(Strength + Vitality)

  • Power Spool
    • Can be triggered Reflexively by a failed roll or actively as an action
    • Each difficulty tier achieved provides a +1 Step bonus to Strength or Vitality for the scene
      • (e.g. Easy (+1), Average (+2), Hard (+3), etc)
      • This bonus dissipates after a scene of use
  • Kinetic Absorption
    • Rolled reflexively after every physical attack, reduces damage by the result
      • This can completely negate damage but cannot heal the character

Supernova-Tier Ability

(Athletics / Weight Lifting)

  • Power Augmentation
    • Add the Athletics Skill to all Activation Rolls
  • Density
    • Each step bonus to the character’s Strength benefits from also adds 1 Step to their unarmed damage rolls
    • Each step bonus to the character’s Vitality grants him a single point of armor

Hypernova-Tier Ability

(Athlete, Heavy Tolerance, Tough as Nails)

  • Power Augmentation
    • Add an Asset rating to all Activation Rolls
    • Asset can be Athlete, Heavy Tolerance, or Tough as Nails
  • Fusion
    • The character applies the step bonus from their power to both Strength and Vitality
  • Unfathomable Power
    • As long as the character only takes one action for the turn (such as a feat of strength or reflexively absorbing attacks and taking no further actions on his turn), the character’s Asset roll acts as a multiplier instead of an adder.
      • For example, instead of adding Strength + Willpower + Athletics + Tough as Nails, the character would instead add Strength + Willpower + Athletics and multiply the result by the die value of their Tough as Nails die result.
